Hosting and server logs
This site is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc. When you visit, your browser transmits technical data that is stored in server log files: IP address, time of the request, the page requested, browser and operating system. This is necessary to deliver the site and to keep it secure.
Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR — our legitimate interest in operating the site reliably. A data processing agreement is in place with the host. Data may be processed on servers outside the EU; Cloudflare is committed to the EU standard contractual clauses.
No tracking, no cookies
This site uses no analytics, no advertising and no tracking cookies. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to.
The fonts are delivered from our own server. No connection to Google is made when you visit.
Local storage in the exhibition room
The walkable room stores two things in your browser: where you were standing, and whether the controls have already been explained to you. This stays on your device, is never transmitted, and exists only so the room behaves sensibly when you come back. You can clear it at any time in your browser settings.
Payment via Stripe
Purchases are processed by Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd., 1 Grand Canal Street Lower, Dublin, Ireland. When you buy, the data required for the transaction is transmitted to Stripe: name, email address, delivery address and payment details. We never see your card details.

Contact by email
If you write to us, we store your message and your address in order to answer it. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (b) and (f) GDPR. We delete enquiries once they are settled and no retention period applies.

You have the right to information, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. Write to the address above.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is the Unabhängiges Landeszentrum für Datenschutz Schleswig-Holstein, Holstenstraße 98, 24103 Kiel, Germany.
