The largest painting in the show and the only one in which something disappears. In the middle a figure comes apart: the paint runs down its face, the posture still holds, and behind it there is no one left. Around it everything stays intact — the notes in their ring, the three bottles, the black card. The property keeps its shape; the owner loses his. And the picture carries on without him: that someone is missing in the middle is the last thing you notice. That is the point.
